Course Overview
The overall aim of the Bachelor Of Science in Mobile and Web Computing is to provide learners with the professional, technical and project related capabilities applicable to the development of secure client-side and server-side Mobile and Web-based systems.
Learners in Stage 1 with Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board will undertake the following modules:
Semester 1
Computer Mathematics, ICT and Applications, Programming Fundamentals, Data Essentials, Foundations of Security, Web Development Fundamentals.
Semester 2
Mathematical Methods, Responsive design and Web Development, Communications and Applications, Problem Solving and Programming Fundamentals, Structured Query Language Essentials, Operating Systems Fundamentals.
There is no individual certification associated with each module. The learner must achieve all modules in order to achieve the full Certificate, Minor Award Level 6.

- Applicants must have Leaving Certificate, LCA or equivalent.
- Holders of a QQI Level 4 Award are also eligible to apply.
- Mature learners (over 23) may be exempt from the above academic requirements.
- Places on the programme are limited and will be allocated on the basis of a personal interview.
